Hey Blitzers! Today we’re here to talk about a brand new feature coming to Disney Emoji Blitz, the Emoji Search Bar! We know a lot of players have been sharing their feedback on social media asking for an easier way to quickly find specific Emojis, and the team is excited to finally be adding this feature. Andy, one of our Senior Game Designers, joined us in our latest YouTube video to explain how The Emoji Search Bar works. Check it out below!

What is the Emoji Search Bar?
The Emoji Search Bar is a new feature that will help players find their desired Emojis without the need to scroll through their entire collections. There are two ways to access the Emoji Search Bar:
- Simply go to the Emoji Collection menu and tap on the brand new magnifying glass icon.
- You can also tap the Emoji Collection title, like “Gold Emojis”.
These methods will bring up players’ device specific keyboard so that they can begin their search for the perfect Emoji!
How Does the Emoji Search Bar Work?
As you type into the search bar, related Emojis will populate depending on the specific search terms used (15 characters max are allowed). The most obvious way to search for an Emoji will of course be typing out its name. If you know exactly what you’re looking for, simply type in that Emoji name and like magic it’ll appear for you to select and use!
How Else Can I Search For an Emoji??
Mission Tags
Searching for the exact Emoji name isn’t the only way you’ll be able to take advantage of this new feature. The team has worked hard to make sure they could capture as many ways possible they think players will want to search, and so they made sure to add Mission Tags as a searchable phrase. If you are unfamiliar, Mission Tags are search terms that can be used to find just the right Emoji for a specific Mission.
If you’re in the mood to use one of the Mickey Mouse Emojis but haven’t quite decided which one, no worries! Type in “Mickey” and the Emoji Search Bar will show all available Mickey Mouse Emojis. Or maybe you want to find the perfect Princess Emoji for tea time. You can type in “Princess” and all available Princess Emojis will appear!
Additionally, we know every once in a while there are missions that require the use of an Emoji that meets specific requirements. For example, using a cat Emoji or an Emoji wearing a hat, etc. With the search bar, we’ve now made it easier than ever to help players know which Emojis meet these requirements. Just head to the search bar, type in “cat” or “hat” among many other available terms, and you’ll be shown every Emoji matching your specific search.
Story
You can also search by the Story the Emoji belongs to! For example, if you want to find all the Emojis from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, search for “Beauty and the Beast.” You’ll find that Belle, Beast, Lumiere, Cogsworth, Gaston… well, you get the idea! You’ll find that the entire collection will come up in the search!
